Terry Miura: Landscapes, Cityscapes, Figures, and Still Lifes

April 28 to May 26, 2018

Stop Ahead, 14″ x 11,” oil on iinen. $2,150.

In addition to our inventory of framed landscape paintings by Terry, viewable on his page here, we’re showing the following selection below (and many others not shown here) of the artist’s cityscapes, figurative paintings, and still lifes.

On the afternoon of the first day of the exhibit, Saturday, April 28, Terry set up his easel in the gallery and painted a cityscape. A couple of dozen admirers were in attendance—and for a couple of hours  were in rapt attention watching and learning from Terry’s insights about his approach, materials and tools, and his process.

It was exciting to have a big batch of new paintings arrive that day, which we displayed unframed in the gallery. To augment the fourteen landscapes we had on hand, Terry brought eight cityscapes (including the one at right, which one of our ready-made compound frames suited perfectly, so it’s now hanging on the wall), fifteen still lifes and fourteen figurative works.

After nine years of showing Terry Miura’s landscapes, it’s wonderful to be sharing the full scope of genres in which this talented artist excels. For the full collection, view here…
