Four-Square

Four-Square Series frames articulate their mortise-and-tenon joinery with extended horns (the portion of the mortised member that extends beyond the outside edge of the tenoned rail of the frame) and, in the case of the Extensions and Rounded Ends, extended tenons. Profiles wider than 1-1/2″ are typically made with a “reveal” at the joint — a 1/8″ step that further accentuates the construction of the frame. In framing unmatted work, we usually recommend a liner or slip.

All Four-Square frames are available in any wood.
