M. Collier, “Peonies”

2011. Oil on panel, 8″ x 8″. Framed in No. 138.0 — 2-1/4″ in cherry (Saturated Medieval stain) with gilt cherry slip (white gold leaf).

M. Collier’s work is highly refined, smooth and expertly executed, calling for just the right form and refinement in the frame. Cherry was chosen so we could achieve a suitably dark finish but with rosy undertones to harmonize with those in the picture.
