Adirondack (Lap-Joined) Prices

To price your frame,

  1. Add the height and width of the artwork in inches.
  2. Add to that the profile width x 4 to get the outside frame dimensions.
  3. Divide the sum by 6. This is your footage; round up to the half-foot.
  4. Find the width and depth (thickness) of the profile you want in the columns under “Profile”, and go across to the column under “Minimum Price” indicating the corner treatment you’d like. If your footage is 5 feet or smaller, this amount is your frame price.
  5. For frames larger than 5 feet, add to the 5-foot price the amount in the last column multiplied by the number of feet (to the half-foot) over 5 feet.

EXAMPLE: To figure the price for a 2" wide by 3/4" deep Adirondack with flush dowels (in bold below), for a 17" x 22" picture:

17" + 22" + (4 x 2") = 47". 47" ÷ 6 = 7.83 feet. Rounding up the the half-foot, this is 8 feet, or the 5 foot minimum price + 3 feet. The price is $205.70 + (3 feet x $25.20) = $281.30.
